DoubleDutch event app
San Francisco-based DoubleDutch has integrated real-time audience response into its event app and analytics platform, which will facilitate live polling by speakers during sessions. The new feature announced on Monday not only eliminates the need for third-party, web-based polls and other response systems, but also improves reliability, efficiency and audience-response frequency.
Speakers using DoubleDutch’s live polling feature can enhance audience participation by posting a multiple-choice question through the app. The timing of the poll can be customized, ranging from when the poll is made live to how long the audience can respond. Then results can be displayed in real-time onstage and within the app, giving speakers and the audience instant feedback. Built-in polling will also benefit event organizers, providing a more complete picture of events while they happen and helping identify areas for proactive improvement, according to DoubleDutch.
“Live polling gives attendees the power to actively share their opinions in a simple, social manner,” said Lucian Beebe, vice president of product management at DoubleDutch. “The feature provides another source of data that we can curate and deliver to organizers to help them make informed decisions about their events.”
